Before choosing a device, I read the house and the people who live in it.
Two similar villas can carry very different risks. That is why I never start from a list of products: I start from four readings.
Access points
Doors, garage, ground-floor windows, gates, service entrances. Not only where people come in, but who comes in, at what time and with what permissions.
The perimeter
Fencing, lighting, vegetation, blind spots. The first warning should arrive before anyone reaches the door.
Habits
The family’s routines, staff, guests, deliveries, long absences. An effective system adapts to the life of the house, not the other way round.
What is worth protecting
Jewellery, watches, documents, collections: what the house holds and where. It decides whether a safe, a vault or a safe room is needed.
